What a joy and an honour to have officiated my very first wedding ceremony — and to celebrate my first win as an officiant! I couldn’t have dreamed of a better start than being trusted by such a warm and loving couple, in the enchanting setting of Solvay Castle (Château de La Hulpe), just outside Brussels.

It was a truly moving experience — one that reminded me why self-styled (secular) wedding ceremonies are so special. They allow couples to design a moment that feels like them — free from religious or administrative formalities — and to share a celebration that genuinely reflects their story, values, and emotions.

Each ceremony becomes a unique expression of love — crafted with intention, infused with meaning, and remembered forever.
